A timber merchant, who was abducted by bandits in Ikole Ekiti on Sunday, October 3, 2021, has regained freedom.
The timber merchant, whose name was given as Olu (aka Reggae), a high chief of Ara Ekiti, Ikole Local Government, was released after paying a sum of N1.5 million as ransom.
Informed source told WazobiaReporters that the abductors also collected seven packs of cigarettes, ten Peak Evaporated Tin Milk as well as one bottle of Seaman Aromatic Schnapps and three packs of Black Bullet.
The source said Olu, who is also the Chairman of Timber Merchants Association in Ikole Local Government, was freed today, at Aiyebode Ekiti area of Ekiti State.
Meanwhile, four more people were said to have been kidnapped in Ilasa Ekiti, Ekiti East Local Government area of Ekiti State today.
