The Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Governors’ Forum has announced a donation of one hundred million Naira (N100 million) to support the victims of the Tudun Wada Market inferno in the Gusau metropolis.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, who is also the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, led the other five governors to sympathize with the victims of the recent fire incident that engulfed the Tudun Wada Market in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governors’ Forum and the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, who led the high powered delegation of the Governors of Rivers, Nyesom Wike, Oyo’s Seyi Makinde, Taraba’s Darius Ishaku, Bauchi’s Bala Mohammed and Adamawa’s, Ahmadu Fintiri to sympathize with the Zamfara State government and the people of the state, over the inferno that razed down 63 shops.
Aminu Tambuwal appealed to political leaders to demarcate between the lives of the people and politics.
He emphasised that they should refrain from playing politics with the lives of the citizens in the country.
He called on President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders, to join hands with the Zamfara State Governor to restore sustainable security and peace in the state.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum announced the donation of one hundred million Naira, to support the victims of the fire incident at the Gusau market, to alleviate their plight.
His Rivers State counterpart Nyesom Wike, challenged the All Progressives Congress, APC led Federal government to fulfil the promises they had made to Nigerians to alleviate poverty, provide security, fight corruption and improve the nation’s economy.
He assured the Zamfara State Governor Bello Mohammed that the PDP will rally around him to overcome the challenges bedevilling the state, and asked him not to be afraid.
On his part, Zamfara State Governor Bello Mohammed said, the state government and people of the state are happy with the visit to commiserate with them over the fire disaster.
He also appreciated the donation of the one hundred million Naira to the victims of the fire incident.
Some lawmakers under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, accompanied the governors for the visit.
