BREAKING: Fresh crisis hits APC as court orders Caretaker Committee to stop new membership registration

The plan by Governor Mai Mala Buni’s led All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker Committee to commence new membership registration may have hit the rock as a Federal high Court in Abuja, has granted an order stopping the registration process.

Justice Taiwo Taiwo granted the order today, pending the determination of the case instituted by a former APC Youth Leader in Abia State, Kalu Kalu Agu.

Kalu Kalu Agu, had instituted the case challenging the composition of the Caretaker Committee after the NEC dissolution of the Comrade Adams Oshiomole led National Working Committee (NWC).

The case has been adjourned till December 4,2020.

It should be recalled that WazobiaReporters had reported that a group known as Concerned APC Members had opposed the move by the Governor Mai-Mala Buni-led Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee to embark on membership registration.

The group at a recent press conference addressed by its Spokesperson, Abdullahi Dauda, asked the Caretaker Committee to halt the proposed registration of fresh members and allow the next NWC to carry out such assignments.

The move to continue with the process, the court feared, may affect the reis of the case instituted by Kalu.
