Lawmaker representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Ali Wakili, is dead.
Sources in the Senate said the lawmaker slumped on Saturday morning at his Gwarimpa, Abuja residence after which he was taken to a hospital within the estate, but he died before getting emergency treatment.

Meanwhile, the Senate has confirmed the death of Senator Ali Wakili.
President of the Senate, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu, described Wakili as a vibrant lawmaker and public servant.
