Youths in the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ekiti State, under the aegis of Ekiti APC Youths Congress (EAYC) have decried the reported engagement of one Olasoji Akodu as the coordinator of the social media team of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The youths said in a press release issued in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday that they were shocked to read on social media yesterday, the engagement of the said Akodu, whom they described as a stranger in the APC in the State as coordinator of the Buhari Media Centre.
According to the press release jointly signed by Mr Tope Ogunkuade and Comrade Tunji Adeleye, EAYC Convener and Secretary respectively, it was an affront on youths in the party to be neglected for someone like Akodu, who is a federal civil servant and wife a civil servant in Ekiti State.

The APC youths called on the State Publicity Secretary of the party to write officially to the President to reject the engagement of Olasoji Akodu as coordinator for the Buhari Media Centre and also vowed to mobilise youths in the party to avoid working under him.
Furthermore, it is our considered opinion that the likes of Orebe Sunday Kola, Olufemi Aduloju, Otunba Adeleye Akintola, Barrister Adeoye Aribasoye and Ayodeji Ogunleye Miliki are better suited as Ekiti State coordinator of the Buhari Media Centre, not someone like Olasoji Akodu, a federal civil servant whose commitment to the Buhari’s project we are not sure of.
